Population and Geography Field-trip to Ghana

The 2nd year BSc Population and Geography students from the Department of Social Statistics and Demography at the University of Southampton will be travelling to Ghana in March 2016 for their Applied Population Research Methods field-trip. We will be visiting the University of Ghana in Accra and working with the Regional Institute for Population Studies looking at how demographic and geographic research is done in a real-world field context. This trip takes all the theoretical knowledge of research methods gained in the classroom and looks at how that knowledge is applied in the field.

This blog will document the thoughts, opinions and experiences of the Pop. and Geog. students throughout the trip. Check backĀ for more content beginning in March 2016.
